My BLog

There are books you read, and there are books you feel in your bones.
Baric is the second.

This is a story about the kind of wounds that don’t show up in photographs. The kind you carry in your chest, your blood, your memory. It’s about the terrible things people do to each other, and the smaller, quieter acts of defiance that make survival possible. About men like Joseph Baric, who wear their ghosts like armor, and people like Jennifer Connor, who try to fix a world already too broken to hold.

It’s violent, yes. Dark. Unforgiving.
But if you read closely, you’ll find kindness hidden in the corners — in the loyalty of a tech guy who stays long after he should’ve run, in the shaky courage of a man forced to choose between his family and his own life, in the battered dignity of a mother who survived what no one should.
This isn’t a story about heroes. It’s about people. Messy, damaged, stubborn people. And it’s about what it costs to live in a world like ours and still choose to care.
I’m proud to have had a hand in helping this book find its voice. It deserves to be read by anyone who’s ever wondered what becomes of the ones left behind when the sirens fade.
If you’re holding this book, you’re one of the people who listens. And that makes you part of the story too.

Love the writing style!! Easy read! I can't believe the author went through this in the war. Great book for a first time publisher!! Highly recommended if you like detective mystery books!

I am blown away by the quality and content of this crime thriller story from a debut author. I’ve read a lot of books lately and this is a clear winner.
Cleverly crafted from the outset, dark and gritty, incredibly written characters with believable depth, brilliant pacing, brilliant author voice, just brilliantly written.
This book deserves incredible success and I urge anyone who reads this review to just buy it.
I purchased the ebook but will also be purchasing the paperback as this is a must-have for my book shelf.
